Besides these comprehensiveapplications, Uniplex DOS interfaces to UNIX-based systems runningUniplex II Plus and the Uniplex Advanced Office System.Uniplex DOS delivers Uniplex and UNIX-type functionality in a PCenvironment. Full process swapping is provided through the Uniplex deskoption, permitting users to have multiple word processing or spreadsheetsessions open at the same time. Data can be moved between applicationsusing the convenient Uniplex cut-and-paste facilities. The Uniplex deskalso lets users access a variety of tools such as printing utilities, aclock, and a calculator.PCs using Uniplex DOS can function as an intelligent workstation on aUNIX system running Uniplex II Plus and NFS. Uniplex can also accessother Uniplex applications running on the host system, including timemanager, electronic mail, and database links.
